CDC-Social Media Manager
Job Summary
The Career Development Center (CDC) is seeking a creative and energetic student leader to manage our social media presence and build a strong online community for our student body. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in social media marketing, content creation, and team leadership. You will develop and implement a social media strategy that engages students and promotes the CDC's services and resources.
- The job will start in mid-March 2025 - shadowing the current CDC social media manager for the remainder of the semester.
- You must be able to attend weekly CDC MarCom team meetings on Mondays at 3:00pm.
- You must be available to work over the Summer (remotely) and continue in the role through the next academic year (Fall 2025-Spring 2026).
- Sophomore or Junior preferred
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the CDC across Instagram and TikTok.
- Create engaging and informative content that highlights the CDC's services, events, workshops, and resources.
- Manage the CDC MarCom team and provide guidance at weekly meetings to hit deadlines.
- Stay up to date on social media trends and best practices for each platform.
- Schedule and post content consistently across all platforms.
- Analyze social media data and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Collaborate with the CDC team on overall marketing strategy and messaging.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong understanding of social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Ability to create, edit and post video content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to engage with student population on campus.
- Creative thinking and ability to develop engaging content formats (text, images, videos).
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0

Additional Requirements
- This position is paid $10.00 per hour, with an estimate of 3 hours weekly.
