Hawk Hub Assistant

Job Summary 

This position will be part of a team that provides student centric support and assistance ensuring a positive, professional experience for all students that seek out the office. You are expected to be adaptable, flexible, versatile, understanding, calm, and caring while exhibiting competency to navigate inquiries. This position requires attention to detail in a fast-paced, ever-changing

This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all Susquehanna University constituents including students, internal staff and faculty, external stakeholders, families, and all parties in contact with the university.
  • Provide general information to solve issues related to financial aid, student accounts, registration, and Global Program (GO), and any questions that may arise.
  • Escalate issues to the Haw Hub staff and supervisor.
  • Participate in trainings as assigned.
  • Run errands on campus upon request.

Education

First-Year or Sophomore. All majors. 

Experience

Computer experience required. Prior experience working with student services or customer services preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have knowledge of English language including meaning and spelling of words,  rules of composition and grammar.
  • Must be skilled at written and verbal communication.
  • Skilled at active listening, asking appropriate questions, and not interrupting at inappropriate times while the other person is speaking.
  • Ability to work with computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office which includes Excel, Word and Outlook, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently with accuracy and confidentially

Additional Requirements 

  • This position is paid $7.25-$7.75 an hour with an estimated 2-4 hours weekly.
