Regional Engagement Center (REC)-Program Assistant
Job Summary
The Program Assistant works closely with REC Staff to facilitate REC Youth Programs, schedule room usage for clubs, and coordinate with volunteers to assist with the daily Drop-In Program. The Program Assistant provides direct service to the REC members while modeling the Code of Conduct and REC Mission Statement. The Drop-In Program accepts students grades 3-12 to participate and runs from 3 pm to 6 pm. On average, 30-40 students attend Drop-In daily. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations.
Specific Responsibilities
- Answer the office phone when in the office.
- Monitor Drop-In Sign-in and sign-out process.
- Keep forms stocked in the office for members’ use.
- Answer questions from members and their families about REC Programs.
- Assist in recruitment of Susquehanna University students for volunteering at REC programs.
- Oversee, model, and monitor adherence to the Code of Conduct

First-Year, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior. All Majors.

Location
This student worker position is located off campus at the Regional Engagement Center located at 429 Eighth Street, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
Additional Requirements
- Must be Federal Work Study eligible.
- Must be able to provide clearances for PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Clearance, and FBI Fingerprinting Check (for those who have lived outside of the state of PA within the last 10 years).
- This position is paid $7.50 per hour, with an estimate of 20 hours weekly.
