AMPLIFY-Development/Outreach Program Assistant-Regional Engagement Center (REC)

Job Description:

The Development/Outreach Program Assistant will assist REC Staff in the management of our Donor Database, maintaining the accuracy of records, engaging our donors, and developing strategies to reach out to new potential donors. Interns will get hands-on experience non-profit communications, engaging the community, and getting in-depth insight into the operations of a non-profit organization. The intern will increase outreach for the REC and raise awareness of our organization and its mission in the region, allowing us to serve even more members of the community.

Expectations:

-Create and manage social media posts across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram) 
-Assist and support the planning and coordination of community outreach activities 
-Maintain databases to record donor contacts and assist with donor research
-Regularly attend team and staff meetings and respond to donor inquiries

Learning Objectives:

  • Increase Donor Engagement and Donations: Develop and implement fundraising campaigns to attract new donors and strengthen relationships with existing donors and engagement strategies. 
  • Enhance Brand Awareness: Develop marketing materials that effectively communicate the organization's mission and impact.  Increase website traffic.
  • Improve Donor Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor information. Utilize donor data in fundraising strategies and outreach efforts. 
     

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

While not required, students studying Communications or Business Management may fit better for the role than other majors. However, we encourage all interested to apply for the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Detail oriented; Strong organizational skills; strong communication skills; flexibility and adaptability; proficient at Microsoft Office; displays initiative; ability to work independently and as a part of team; Strong interest in service and community engagement; comfortable with social media platforms and content creation.

-Working conditions are indoors

Additional Information:

-This job is paid $11 per hour with estimate of 8 hours per week
