AMPLIFY-Fundraising Program Assistant Intern-Regional Engagement Center (REC)
Job Description:
The Fundraising Program Assistant will assist REC Staff in planning and facilitating fundraising events. Interns will get hands-on experience non-profit fundraising, communications, engaging the community, and getting in-depth insight into the operations of a non-profit organization. The intern will increase funds for the REC, allowing us to serve even more members of the community.
Expectations:
-Create and manage promotional materials for fundraising events
-Conduct research on fundraising best practices, donor trends, and potential funding sources
-Provide creative solutions with the development of new and imaginative fundraising approaches
-Regularly attend team and staff meetings
Learning Objectives:
- Increase Donor Engagement and Donations: Develop and implement fundraising campaigns to attract new donors and strengthen relationships with existing donors and engagement strategies.
Expand Social Media Presence and Engagement: Create and share engaging content on various social media platforms with a focus on increasing the number of followers, likes, shares, and comments on posts.
We hope to reach fundraising goals for each event, achieve measurable increases in new donors, social media engagement, and total accuracy in donor records and contact information.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Detail oriented; Strong organizational skills; strong communication skills; flexibility and adaptability; proficient at Microsoft Office; displays initiative; ability to work independently and as a part of team; Strong interest in service and community engagement; comfortable with social media platforms and content creation.
Preferred Qualifications:
-While not required, students studying Communications or Business Management may fit better for the role than other majors. However, we encourage all interested to apply for the role.
Additional Information:
-This role pays $11.00 dollars per hour with an estimate of 8 hours per week.
